Overview
Enrollment vs. Attendance
These two terms are related, but they are not the same. Both are important when discussing the education of children. The state of Alabama also provides legal guidance on both issues with regards to school. When a child is enrolled in a school, he/she is a member of the student body at the school. When a child is actually at school, he/she is in attendance. A child may be enrolled, but not be in attendance. A child, however, cannot be in attendance without being enrolled. Please see the Enrollment and Attendance pages for more detailed information.
