Weapon-Free Schools

Chickasaw City Schools prohibits the posession of deadly weapons on school system property by anyone other than law enforcement personnel. This includes school buses or the premesis on which a school-sponsored event is held. This policy can be read in its entirety in Chapter 6 of the City of Chickasaw School Board Policy under section 6.30.1.

Drug/Tobacco-Free Schools

The City of Chickasaw Board of Education prohibits the use or posession of tobacco (School Board Policy 3.45), alcohol or illegal drugs (School Board Policy 3.42) in any form by students, faculty, support personnel, or any other person on school property under the control of the City of Chickasaw Board of Education. Bullying, Harassment, and Suicide Prevention

City of Chickasaw School Board Policy 3.43 addresses these issues concerning employees and/or students. Additionally, the counselors at  our schools have programs for students and faculty to aid in the prevention of harmful/hurtful actions. Recent legislation such as: Erin's Law, the Jason Flatt Act, and the Jamari Terrell Williams Act require school systems to educate students and faculties on the dangers involved with bullying and harassment.
